Frank L. Slifka

Frank L. Slifka, 77, of Livingston, IL, passed away at 9:20 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his residence in Livingston, IL.  He was born October 31, 1948 in Litchfield, IL, the son of the late Frank & Sylvia Rose (McKinnerney) Slifka.  He married Alice Marie Kovaly on August 24, 1968 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, IL & she survives.

Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed as a Master Mechanic, working as a Shop Foreman at Slifka Trucking, & later at Jung Trucking before his retirement.  He enjoyed mowing his grass & working on his tractor, tractor pulling, working in the shop with family, tractor rides with family & friends, & working on his antique tractors.  He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton, IL.

He is survived by his wife -  Alice Slifka;  one son -  Mark (Tanya) Slifka;  daughter-in-law -  Stacy Slifka;  five grandchildren -  Aaron Slifka,  Emily Slifka,  Webb Slifka,  Natalie Slifka,  &  Andrew Slifka;  & two great grandchildren.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son -  John M. Slifka;  one sister -  Judith Klein;  & two brothers -  Alan Slifka  &  David Slifka.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton, IL.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton, IL, with Rev. Joshua Pittmann officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date.
